WELCOME TO UVFLOORx™

UVFLOORx™ was created by a medical product innovation think tank owned and operated by Harbor Innovations LLC, it was established with the mission to develop and introduce UVFLOORx™, a patented foot disinfection station powered by high-intensity UVC and FAR-UV Light Sources. Our goal is to mitigate the transmission and transport of harmful microbes facilitated by foot traffic.

Our state-of-the-art automatic disinfection system, equipped with the most recent UVC Light Source technology and scalable operating system, is available to resolve this problem. It is well-positioned to reduce the negative impact HAIs have on healthcare facilities and improve patient care, overall cost of care, and loss of revenue due to extended hospital stays.

Founder & Our Mission

Rachel Dombrowsky

Founder & Chairman of the Board

Our management team and industry consultants are qualified professionals with vast experience in operations, product development, sales, and marketing within the medical device, food, and agriculture industries.

Rachel Dombrowsky, our founder, is a healthcare innovator. Early career endeavors Rachel learned about the senior care market and formed Health Link, which brokered the discharge of seniors from hospitals to the most suitable adult homes and skilled nursing facilities. In the early nineties, Rachel opened Oyster Bay Manor (OBM), a high-quality Assisted Living Facility on the North shore of Long Island. OBM was the first facility of its kind to have nursing care on-staff. A short time after, Rachel purchased the adjacent lot to OBM and designed Harbor House, the first specialized memory care facility on the East Coast.

As President and Operator of Oyster Bay Senior Campus for the past 30 years, Rachel also operates a Certified Health Agency called Brookville Home Care. Rachel's facilities have received numerous awards and honors for their exemplary care, and her sterling reputation keeps her in excellent standing with the NYS Department of Health.

Rachel's passion for innovation and the betterment of humanity continued to challenge her. Always up to date with the healthcare market, Rachel recognized the dangerous spread of hospital-acquired infections (HAI’s) was being facilitated by footwear. This led her to invent UVFLOORx™, the patented disinfecting footwear device designed to prevent the spread of these infections. When not at work, Rachel spends her time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Rachel's warm and caring disposition is apparent to everyone who meets her. With her leadership our mission is to continue to deliver on the commitment to making healthcare and process manufacturing facilities safer and reducing dangerous pathogen spread.

In addition to expanding our product line to include UV Body Cabinets, leveraging and adapting its UV-C and FAR-UVC disinfection system to create future-generation devices for specific industry needs, the Company has identified a list of complementary products and has patents in process on these new and novel products.

Patents

Application No. 14/542,047

Status: Issued as U.S. Patent No. 9,198,991 on December 1, 2015

Title: Apparatus For Destroying Pathogens Associated with Footwear:

Description: This patent is directed to an apparatus for destroying pathogens, including a housing, a platform supported on the housing and configured to permit passage of UV light, a reflective tray disposed within the housing, and a source of UV light disposed adjacent to the reflective tray for directing the UV light through the platform. The platform is configured to block all UV light from passing straight up through the platform.

Application No. 15/626,615

Status: Pending

Title: System and Apparatus Thereof for Destroying Pathogens Associated with Footwear.

Description: This patent application is directed to an apparatus for destroying pathogens, including a platform and a light-emitting diode (“Light Source”) matrix panel disposed below the platform. The Light Source matrix panel includes a grid defining a plurality of cells and a plurality of UV Light Sources that emit UV light. Only those UV Light Sources positioned directly above where a user stands are configured to illuminate.

Notes: This application has a correspondingly filed PCT patent application, which was indicated by the International Searching Authority as being patentable.

Application No. 15/909,301

Status: Pending

Title: System and Apparatus Thereof for Destroying Pathogens Associated With Footwear.

Description: This patent application is directed to a footwear-disinfecting system, including a user interface to be mounted to a wall and for displaying the progress of a disinfection process. The user interface is in communication with the apparatus described above with respect to Application No. 15/626,615. A microcontroller receives and stores information regarding each use of the footwear-disinfecting system by a user or an object supported on the apparatus.

Notes: This application was filed as a Track One patent application, which means that this application will receive expedited review by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
